Less of a complaint really.
The staff in the Tesco by Old Street Roundabout should win a medel for being super helpful. 6 months ago via web
I have an iPhone and it's recently broken. The guy in the Carphone Warehouse chose not to look at me for 5 minutes, tapped on his computer and took a call on his mobile from a friend saying "nah mate, I aint got none."
He then told me that to fix my iPhone through their insurance, which I pay monthly for, would take 28 days and that they didn't have a replacement phone so I would have to go without for that time.
I explained that I had to have my phone for work emails and calls so he told me to go to a store on the other side of London.

Has Apple been taking a leaf out of Microsoft's book? I've had problems with both recently
I'm now onto my third Xbox 360. There's a problem called the "red rings of death" which is a warning sign that your xbox has packed in. This has now happened to two of my xbox's. What I will say is that Microsoft are very quick to respond and replace and acknowledge there is a known problem with the hardware.
My beef is, if they know it exists why do they not address the problem with a permanent fix at the build stage. Latest estimates are between 24% and 55% of xbox owners having experienced the "red ring of death" during the 360's life cycle and yet it continues to happen.
Fact is that Microsoft are very good at replacing or fixing the broken item.
I've similarly experienced something similar with my new 27" imac. The display fades to yellow. The fundamental difference is that I was asked by the Apple rep whether that was a problem. Well yes it is and I can find pointless other posts on the internet who feel the same.
My point is: These are known problems. Why isn't anything being done to address this before it becomes a problem and costs the company more money. Look at the Toyota as an example recalls cost financially but ignoring the problem costs them in reputation. 6 months ago via web
