FGW has succeeded into 'transforming travel' to a complete nightmare! Travelled back to Cornwall with train loos having no water - smelt great by the time we arrived at Truro! My crazy ticket made me travel from Heathrow to Reading via Hayes - Hayes Stations has no staff, no information board and was so shabby and dirty!! FGW are the pits!! about 1 month ago via web

My fare has gone up from £20 to £34.50. I relied on this service, I booked the same time train every week, and now I find that from January I will have to pay £14.50 more. Why? How can they do this?? 3 months ago via web

This sounds like a huge rise! It would be interesting to know what journey you make and why has it has changed so much - have the peak times changed? 3 months ago via web

The issue is: what can be done about the fare increase? You feel utterly powerless when this happens. What route is this fare increase on? I wonder if there's a way to get a few more people gathering on Quiet Riots and then representing as a group. 3 months ago via web

Route: London to Swindon. I always get the 17.15 and pay £20! So the rise has hit hard. You are so right about the 'powerless' feeling - also it seems odd to me that when I looked at National Express & Megabus, none of them leave between 16.30 and 20.00 for Reading or Swindon, leaving commuters at the mercy of FGW. Is this deliberate policy, given how many people commute from Reading? 3 months ago via web
