Well I am soooooooo glad I read all these comments about Ryan Air as I was just about to book my annual holiday to Faro, along with a few friends but after the rip off experience we had last year we shall be flying Easy Jet (I will of course check up on their feedback before I book) 7 months ago via web
Maddie, watch out for easyJet speedy boarding - it doesn't work at Faro as the crowd just surges anyway and staff are not trained to manage the staged on boarding process 7 months ago via web
You've got to be kidding Ryanair. I order 4 tickets with one credit card but get charged 4 credit card fees. Ridiculous. This dishonesty about pricing pervades the whole organisation. Surely over time, you'll lose customers for it? Or the regulator will do something? 7 months ago via web
I've just booked some regional flights with Qantas, compared prices with REX and Qantas came out best, then of course you get to the end and are whacked with charges for using a credit card to pay - $7+ per traveller! How are you supposed to compare the real cost of travel when the airlines are not only allowed to charge these excessive fees but also to hide them until the very end of the transaction. This is downright sneaky and should be illegal. Have heard of Ryan Air and other discount airlines doing this, but Qantas are already charging me top rates... although, that's really beside the point anyway.
All charges should be made clear before I've filled in three pages of forms to make my booking! 8 months ago via web
Whilst Ryan air charge crazy amounts on top of their published fares for everything you need when you travel I am more annoyed that they do not allocate seat numbers when you check-in. At the moment, there is a mass rush to get on the plane and find seats together. 9 months ago via web
..And why the hell should I have to pay extra just because i don't want to pay by direct debit - especially when i have never been late with a payment. I would understand if i had a bad credit rating or kept missing bills but how can they possibly justify it when i have been an exemplary customer!! 9 months ago via web
Then other customers paying by direct debit would end up effectively subsidising you as non direct debit payments cost more to handle 9 months ago via web
I get a new landline and what with other problems - cards changing and stuff - didn't get round to paying for 2 months so they cut me off. So then I'm told that to reconnect, I've got to pay the remaining 10 months line rental as a fine. A fine. 10 months line rental. Over £100. And then they'll reconnect but only on another year contract starting from reconnection - but I have to pay the line rental each month.
Days to sort it out (lots of dropped calls), completely unhelpful supervisor ("It's on page 22 of your Terms & Conditions")
Outrageous ripoff by a viritual state monopoly.
"We're calling today to ensure you're getting the best value in service..." Angry BT customer goes nuts - very sweary, be warned!

And also a kind of arbitrary, unconsidered, unlegislated law-making by petty bureaucratic whim that seems utterly scandalous, and which something like Quiet Riots could really do something about if we pile in.
BT people should watch The Merchant of Venice.
They have no right to a pound of flesh, whichever way you cut it. (No pun intended, but not a bad one now I come to think of it!)

makes me sympathise with BT rather than the opposite - the man being called is mentally ill 9 months ago via web
He could have just hung up - it's little different from people who whinge about sex, swearing on tv and do not consider turning over to another channel.
Though I imagine he got what he wanted - I mean, surely, he was taken off their call list. Message for Quiet Rioters - don't bother with rational arguments or pleading, threaten violence....violently. 9 months ago via web
Ha ha haa... a bad day at work for the guy in the call centre! - I like the comment to Diane at the end though!! I guess if that's the only way to get your message across then it's ok!Maybe i could learn from him! - I have yet to suceed at getting taken off any call list! 9 months ago via web
We recently went to Alicante on Monarch, we paid to take golf clubs, on returning we decided to leave the clubs in the villa and just stuff a few extra things in our case. At the airport we got charged 120 euros for being 12kg over weight, even though we had paid £30 for the golf clubs we never brought back. We have complained to Monarch who weren't willing to either reduce the excess baggage charge or refund us the golf club carrier charge. It's very simple next time we don't use Monarch, and will do our best to put off anyone else we know using them. Simples !! 10 months ago via web
Thats exactly the way to do it Jonny, vote with your feet, don't fly with them again. Simples. 9 months ago via web
I fly weekly and book my ticket well in advance but everynow and then I have to change my plans and get stung £25 per flight change. I'd much prefer to book 10-20 flights at a time at a fixed price and book them anytime and change them anytime at no charge. Great for the regular business user, come on easyjet make it easy, you hedge your fuel costs let us hedge our travel costs 10 months ago via web
Totally. Think it's really annoying that easyjet and all these other budget airlines charge through the nose for necessary changes. 10 months ago via web
Same principle as the infuriating Congestion Charge - every now and then I forget, when I'd rather it just took the money automatically. 10 months ago via web

Thank you for that useful advice, I will now be traveeling by Eurostar then will work our way down on the train because I do not feel I can trust any airline at the moment. 7 months ago via web
