Everybody knows that the smaller the class size, the better the education. That's why people pay to put their children in private school - the teachers are no better than those in State schools, but the children get more access to them. This is especially important now that so many children with special needs and behaviour difficulties have to be dealt with within the classroom, putting extra stress on both children and teachers. 7 months ago via web

Class sizes in UK state primary schools are among the highest of any developed country in the world. With 25.8 pupils in the average state school class, only Japan, Korea and Turkey have larger class sizes. The OECD's "Education at a Glance" report – its annual state of the nation assessment of the performance of all its members – also records that the gap between class sizes in state and private schools – at 13 pupils – is larger in the UK than anywhere else in the world.
