I keep meeting people who are infuriated by O2's dropped calls. O2 don't seem to acknowledge it and they don't tell us if they're doing anything about it. They should. 4 months ago via web

I also frequently experience "call failed" and dropped calls with O2. Both on samsung and nokia phone models. It is really frustrating. 7 months ago via web

Interesting it's on Samsung and Nokia as well. Someone else on Quiet Riots said they never got O2 dropped calls and was convinced it was the iPhone only. I'm going to try and log on Quiet Riots every time it happens. 7 months ago via web

"Call Failed" is a regular occurrence on my iPhone. IIRC its an issue specifically to do with the iPhone and o2. It tends to happen when im on the phone to other iPhone users on o2 aswell.

I think o2's iPhone app really sums it all up....then look at Oranges iPhone app! Quite an embarrassment really. 8 months ago via web

1) Settings > General > Date and Time > (Here, switch off "Set Automatically" and manually select your hometown). Then manually set the date and time.

Once you've done it - switch off, and restart phone - and you can reset the 2 settings to "Set Automatically" again.

2) Settings > Phone > Show My Caller ID > Switch ON

If you dont change it, you will not be able to make outgoing calls. But the wierd part is, you will still be able to receive incoming calls.

Have you tried the simcard with another phone & does it work? Check if you have the latest software version. Software is prone to programming bugs as they are programmed by human beings from Apple hence possible fault on the software itself.

Terrible data networking. I commonly find that I can move my iPhone a foot in another direction and go from full signal to lost signal. This is very common in London as well - I remember Orange was so much better...but I'm locked in for another year

I never had a problem with Dropped Calls with Orange.

I moved recently to O2 and am shocked at how many dropped calls I get. Is it the iPhone or is it O2's network? What surprises me is how many other people on O2 also say they have this problem.

Does O2 know it has this problem? 8 months ago via web

I've been with o2 for 10 years now (previously BT genie & BT cellnet), and I have been consistently happy with the coverage. More often than not, I have great signal when my friends on Orange or T-mobile don't.

I think it must be the iPhone... 8 months ago via web

Now you mention it, I actually get quite a few dropped calls with O2 and my iPhone too (had 2 last night!). Thought it was just me going in and out of reception perhaps but if others are having this problem too, it could be O2's fault after all!!!

Still love the phone though!!! 5 months ago via web
