Also with regard to rude customers, I am often seriously irritated by shoppers at my local Tesco (and at other stores), who are not Blue Badge holders, who make use of the disabled parking bays. It is thoroughly inconsiderate and can prevent genuinely disabled people from convenient access to the store. It may even be an inconvenience to everyone else, because the number of disabled parking spaces allocated has to make allowance for the level of inappropriate use.
There seems very little that can be done about it: because it is on commercial premises it cannot be considered to be a parking offence. I therefore invite Quiet Rioters to suggest ways in which this issue could be addressed. For a start, I would strongly recommend that no attempt should be made to directly challenge perpetrators. A guess at the mindset of at least some of those involved would suggest that such a course of action could be seriously detrimental to one’s physical wellbeing. Wheel clamping by Tesco staff sounds appealing but, I’m afraid, would be completely over the top. How about naming and shaming? Could Tesco staff be persuaded to apply a large ‘peelable’ label to a perpetrator’s windscreen stating ‘Inconsiderately Parked’? One may be surprised at how many would be dissuaded from repeat offending by such a course of action. I suspect, however, that Tesco would baulk at even this level of admonishment to a customer. Also, if the driver arrived when the label was being applied the above ‘physical wellbeing’ risk could become a concern.

A few days ago i witnessed a small child was hurt on a sticking-out piece of shelf at the Tesco Express. The mother complained to a cashier who went to have a look and all they could say was, "Oh, you know, it's really not that sharp!" implying that it didn't matter because the child couldn't be hurt very badly.
When the mother challenged the staff member, "You should be apologising" they just laughed and said, "No no i AM sorry, really" ... 9 months ago via web
I entirely agree with you. There are notices up asking people not to park there if not disabled but so many ignore them, so it seems reasonable that Tesco put a notice on their windscreen. I once witnessed the scene of a disabled person parking in a 'Parent and Child' bay as the disabled bays were full of cars without Blue badges. A father (with toddler) in the next bay got very aggressive with the lone female disabled driver because she had no child with her. She tried explaining that the disabled bays were all full and he swore at her and walked away. Perhaps Tesco's could put a person outside on patrol to at least dissuade offenders. 8 months ago via web
